About Us
4U - Handcrafted Jewelry Designs create beautiful jewelry with a focus on consumers who suffer with skin allergies and dexterity issues. By featuring semi-precious gemstones, freshwater cultured pearls, and nickel/lead free metals, we can create jewelry that incorporates an individual's unique style for every situation, while ensuring that there is minimal metal contact on the wearer's skin to minimize allergic or sensitivity reactions. Our clasps are selected specifically for easy use by those with dexterity concerns.
Meet Our Owner
“4U – Handcrafted Jewelry Designs was born out of necessity and formed out of love of jewelry. Skin allergies to certain metals run deeply in my family, becoming more sensitive as we age. My skin dictated that only 925 sterling silver and gold were the only safe metals I could wear without having a painful reaction. Yet, my love of color and ever-changing style made me completely bored with simple metal chains. Thus, I learned two things early in life—I love jewelry, and costume jewelry will never due.
Gradually, my attention turned to pearls with their limitless colors, shapes, styles, and iridescence. My love of jewelry was rejuvenated! Yet, I felt that the single strand of pearls sold in most fine jewelry or department stores were almost archaic, and the clasp used were so small that it was frustrating to manipulate. That’s when I realized that designing jewelry was my destiny! I visited a bead store in my local area for the first time and became engrossed in design inspirations.
I purchased strands of this, strands of that, and several classes with the resident beading expert. Together, we created a beautiful double-strand freshwater cultured pearl necklace that was fitted just right for me. It had a nickel and lead-free clasp that was easy to manipulate. I still wear it to this day! I wholeheartedly believe that others should feel completely excited about their jewelry like this.
I know from experience how important it is to have high-quality jewelry that is safe, easy to wear, and speaks your unique style. Semiprecious gemstones and pearls are natural elements with no known allergies, making them safe to wear. Additionally, because they come in unlimited range of colors, we can create designs that support the specific desires of our clients and friends. Moreover, we purposely select nickel and lead-free clasps based on size and style which can be successfully manipulated, even by those who have reduced dexterity, making our designs easy to put on and take off.

Mission Statement
4U – Handcrafted Jewelry Designs is committed to creating handcrafted jewelry for men, women, and children that complements an individual’s unique style for any situation. Our designs can carry you from the beach to the boardroom, and they match with casual and formal wear.
Since our designs feature semiprecious gemstones and freshwater culture pearls, we are able determine the amount of metal that contacts the skin. Although we cannot guarantee that there’s absolutely no allergic reaction, it is our mission to:
Create designs that consider the needs and concerns of individuals who suffer from skin sensitivity and allergies to metals
Ensure the metal findings within the designs are nickel and lead-free to minimize allergic reactions
Provide available metal content information to help clients make informed decisions and appropriate purchases
Utilize nickel and lead-free clasps and closures that consider the needs of individuals who have dexterity issues to ensure ease of wear and removal of jewelry for all clients
Custom designed jewelry, according to our current abilities, is made with direct input from clients. Limitations will be discussed upfront. 4U – Handcrafted Jewelry Designs reserves the right to reject custom order designs that are beyond our current capabilities or require materials outside of our of established jewelry designer wholesale network.
